INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Gather Ingredients: First, collect all the required ingredients for the comforting chicken noodle soup recipe. I believe it is more beneficial to check your cupboard for the necessary spices before purchasing; if you have enough chicken broth, egg noodles, and fresh vegetables on hand, then you can easily make a comfort chicken noodle soup.

2. Prepare the Vegetables: Chop the onion finely, mince the garlic, and slice the carrots and celery. These vegetables will give fantastic flavours and texture to your comforting chicken noodle soup.

3. Cook the Chicken: It is time to poach or grill the boneless, skinless chicken breasts until they are fully cooked. Once it is done, set aside the chicken after shredding it into bite-sized pieces with a fork or with a machine, depending on how you like it.

4. Sauté the Aromatics: Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a big pot or Dutch oven. Combine the chopped onions and minced garlic in a mixing bowl. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the onions are transparent and aromatic.

5. Add Carrots and Celery: Stir in the sliced carrots and celery and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the vegetables to soften slightly.

6. Pouring: Pour the chicken broth into the pan with the cooked vegetables. Bring the mixture to a boil, then turn it down to a low heat.

7. Add Thyme and Bay Leaf: Sprinkle in the dried thyme and add the bay leaf. These herbs will infuse the soup with comforting aromas and flavors.

8. Season with Salt and Pepper: Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste. If your chicken broth is already salted, be aware of the salt.

9. Add Shredded Chicken: It is time to stir in the shredded chicken into the simmering broth. The tender chicken will add a rich and hearty element which will make it a comfort chicken noodle soup.

10. Cook the Noodles: Add the egg noodles to the pot. Cook them in the soup according to the package instructions or until they reach your desired level of doneness. However, you can also cook them separately and then add them into the soup.

11. Serve and Garnish: Last, but not the least, once the noodles are cooked, remove the bay leaf. Ladle the comforting chicken noodle soup into bowls and garnish each serving with freshly chopped parsley.
